Proof that the LB8 does not require Shechita in any circumstances.
TevuAs Shor, 13:3, explains that the LB9 that walked requires Shechita by Rabbinic decree, Maris Ayin. Furthermore a Beracha must be recited as per all Rabbinically enacted commandments.
Nevertheless he suggests that the Beracha be made for the Shechita of a regular beast, and the LB9 be included in that Beracha.
The logic behind this strategy is that we can not be sure that this BP is an LB9, perhaps it is an LB8. An LB8 does not require Shechita in any circumstances. Making a Beracha when Shechting an LB8, is a Beracha made in vain. The TevuAs Shor thereof promotes this strategy in order to avoid making a Beracha in vain.
